Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

Penmellyn Vets, part of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their small animal hospital in St Columb Major, Cornwall. The role involves a varied caseload of consultations and surgery with access to advanced equipment like CT, laparoscopy, and endoscopy. Full-time position (4 days/week) with 1 in 5 weekends, no out-of-hours, and part-time considered. Salary up to £65,000 DOE plus a welcome bonus up to £5,000.

As a Primary Care Veterinary Surgeon at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice.

  • Full-time role working four days per week with a 1 in 5 weekend rota from 8:30am to 4pm, with time off in lieu during the week.
  • No out-of-hours or on-call requirement. Part-time applications also welcome.

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

  • A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
