Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] - Brighton on a full-time basis. This is working primarily at our main hospital site and covering our 2 smaller sites.

Our Brighton Clinic is based within our flagship hospital in central Brighton. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services, including medicine, surgery, radiography, CT, ultrasound and dentistry, along with the support of nursing clinics - all bolstered by excellent hospital facilities. Patients of our Brighton clinic can also benefit from the on-site support of Brighton Veterinary Referrals if additional expertise is required.

Our beautiful Peacehaven Clinic delivers advanced general practice services to clients on the coast. Still, clients also benefit from the skill sets and facilities available at the Brighton hospital if required.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

This is working 37.5 hours across 4 days, Mon-Fri, with weekends & bank holidays on rotation throughout the year

  • Assisting our Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and consultations
  • Responsibility for inpatient care
  • Assisting with patient admits and discharges
  • Carrying out nurse consultations
  • Have dedicated anaesthesia days
  • Have regular communication with our clients, allowing you to build our client base

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
  • A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
  • The ability to carry out routine surgeries and ideally experience in more complex ones too, however, support is available
