How You’ll Make a Difference
As an Emergency Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues. You will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is our dedicated emergency service. Emergency care is delivered by our team of dedicated out-of-hours emergency care vets and nurses operating from our state-of-the-art flagship Brighton hospital. You will consult and care for inpatients alongside our ECC vet, providing out of hours services to local clinics. Rota for this position will include 30 hours over 3 days per week, predominately working weekends and bank holidays but with hours available Mon-Fri on weeks that don't include a bank holiday.
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
- A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
- Experience working in out of hours with growing confidence in seeing emergency cases
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
- Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
