Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

Salary up to £75,000 DOE plus relocation and welcome bonus. Full-time, 40 hours/week, no OOH, 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. Join a friendly team in a modern, well-equipped practice.

About the Practice

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (part of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]) is a bright, spacious practice with four consulting rooms, species-specific kennels, isolation ward, in-house lab (IDEXX), ultrasound, X-ray, endoscope, bronchoscope. ISFM Silver and Dog Friendly accredited. Established for over 50 years in the Sheringham community.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Director of Practice and Clinical Services to support clinical excellence and team development.
  • Combine hands-on clinical work with leadership: mentoring, managing complex cases, and maintaining clinical standards.
  • Caseload includes cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries, and occasional wildlife. Tourists bring variety in peak seasons.
  • Guaranteed ops day with routine surgeries: spays, castrates, lumpectomies, dentals, splenectomies.
  • Sole-charge shifts occasionally required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Confident, capable veterinary surgeon with strong surgical skills.
  • Experience in clinical leadership and mentoring.
  • Patient, team-oriented, and committed to high standards of care.
  • Certificate study supported and encouraged.
