[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Registered Veterinary Nurse for Midland Veterinary Surgery in Leyton, London. This full-time, on-site role involves providing high-standard nursing care in a well-equipped small animal practice.

About the Practice

Midland Vets is a long-established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice based in Leyton, East London. Established in the 1970s, the practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality first opinion care within the local community. The practice is well-equipped with a laboratory suite, theatre, radiography, dental x-ray, and three consulting rooms. The friendly and dedicated team includes 6 Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, care assistants, a reception team, and a Practice Manager, supported by a visiting ultrasonographer and certificate-holding surgeon.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You will work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care. This is a varied role involving all aspects of general practice nursing, including nurse consultations, anaesthesia, and supporting the smooth running of the clinical day. You will also have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills further with support for CPD, certificates, and training in schedule 3 procedures. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7:45am and 7:30pm, plus a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota, with no out-of-hours or Sunday requirements.

  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied small animal caseload
  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
  • Run nurse consultations and contribute to preventative healthcare
  • Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical environment
