Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Veterinary Surgeon for Lockwood Animal Hospital (Rosewood Vets) in Coseley, West Midlands. This is a permanent role offering up to £65,000 DOE plus a £5,000 welcome bonus. The role is split between Rosewood and Blackheath sites, with a balanced caseload of medicine and surgery. Full-time (40 hours over 4 days) or part-time available. No out-of-hours or on-call, with 1:8 Saturdays.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. You’ll be supported by a clinical team of 12 vets, including certificate holders in exotics, internal medicine, and surgery. The practice is purpose-built with digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, in-house lab, and dental X-ray (being installed). We offer a tailored role based on your interests, with periods of sole charge.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality small animal veterinary care
- Perform medical and surgical procedures
- Use diagnostic equipment (X-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, lab)
- Work collaboratively with nursing and support teams
- Occasional sole charge responsibility
