Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] on a full-time basis.

We have recently refurbished one of our branch surgeries into a dedicated feline clinic, proudly accredited as an ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Clinic. Our modern, well-equipped facilities include separate theatres and prep areas, digital and dental x-ray, CT, endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, and multi-parameter monitoring, allowing us to deliver a high standard of care across a diverse caseload.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

This is a varied role offering exposure to inpatient care, theatre work, nurse clinics, referral cases, and our dedicated cat clinic. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills across a range of areas including anaesthesia, imaging, and client care, while also contributing to a teaching environment supporting student nurses and veterinary students.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over 4 days, Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm, with shifts varying on a rota basis and a 30-minute unpaid break. There are no out-of-hours or weekend requirements, supported by an external emergency care provider.

General responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across both first opinion and referral caseloads
  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
  • Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery
  • Run and support nurse clinics, contributing to preventative healthcare and client education
