Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal - FTC

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for a 15-month fixed-term contract at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], Fishponds, Bristol. Salary up to £56,000 FTE DOE. This is a 36-hour per week position with a shared weekend rota, split across two branches. Benefits include 6.6 weeks annual leave, private medical insurance, CPD allowance, and more.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic GP vet to work across our hospital clinic and other branches. We have a lovely welcoming team across 8 sites in Bristol, run by an experienced team of Clinical Directors and Senior Vets, many of whom have been with the practice for more than a decade.

This is a 36-hour per week position worked over four days, with participation in a shared weekend rota. The role is split across two branches, [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and Fishponds. The weekly schedule is Monday and Tuesday at Fishponds, Wednesday at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (ward vet and consulting), Thursday in a float role providing sick and holiday cover, and Friday as a day off. Working hours are 8:30am to 6:30pm, with no Saturdays required. We would also consider a part-time arrangement (Monday to Wednesday), which would be a 28-hour week.

Fishponds is a busy two-vet practice, offering both surgery and consulting, supported by an experienced team. This role would suit either a recent graduate or an experienced vet confident in both surgical and consulting duties.
