Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], Tividale on a full-time basis.
Tividale is in the heart of the community with great transport links we are on a popular bus route and we're easily accessible by car, we're around 2 miles from the M5 and offer free parking.
We have some great equipment to support the growth of our team. Recently we have acquired a Class 4 Laser for post op wound management and support for our arthritics patients, a IM3 dental x-ray machine and a HQ vista machine. The practice is also supplied with a patient warming system, access to two multi-parameters for optimal patient monitoring, x-ray and ultrasound and a full Idexx Lab, to include urine microscopy.
Our team currently comprises of 3 RVNs, 2 Vet Surgeons, 4 client care team members, and 1 student nurse.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
We understand that work-life balance matters. That’s why we offer a rota that can be tailored to suit your needs. We’re ideally looking for someone who can cover up to 37.5 hours per week, but we’re open to discussion on what works for you. Currently there are no requirements to participate in a Saturday morning rota but this could be a possibility in the future.
General responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and recovering surgical patients
- Nursing inpatients
- Carry out a variety of nurse consults
- Some schedule 3 opportunities (placing IV lines, taking bloods and performing scale and polish procedures)
- Taking x-rays including dental
- Running in-house laboratory tasks

- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
