Role Overview
We are excited to be taking applications for this 12-month internship starting on the 28th September 2026, it is suitable for recent graduates or veterinary surgeons with general practice experience. Interns rotate through Internal Medicine/Cardiology, Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care, with the option to choose additional elective rotations. The programme provides a strong foundation for further discipline-specific training or for building confidence in clinical case management across a diverse caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively engage in all rotations, working closely with senior clinicians and specialists.
- Conduct examinations, support diagnoses, and develop treatment plans under expert supervision.
- Assist in surgeries, procedures, and emergency cases, gaining hands-on experience across multiple disciplines.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive, compassionate patient care.
- Participate in seminars, journal clubs, workshops, and research opportunities to support continuous professional development.
Requirements
- A veterinary degree recognised by the RCVS.
- RCVS registration (or eligibility to register).
- Eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available for overseas applicants).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to learning.
