The Role
Reporting to the Product Realisation Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Entry Level Verification Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You’ll have expertise in hardware verification. Understanding/Familiarity of the other appreciated. You will be responsible for conducting hardware tests, and managing the operation of lab equipment.
What will I be doing?
The role will cover several areas including:
- Support verification & qualification of products against design requirements.
- Assist in testing technologies such as Ethernet, Microcontrollers, FPGA, and basic communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, RS232).
- Learn and apply firmware and hardware testing methods using defined procedures.
- Execute test cases under guidance and contribute to test activities.
- Work with engineering teams to support debugging and issue investigation.
- Support daily lab management activities and assist other engineers.
Verification & Qualification
- Assist in developing and executing test plans and test cases.
- Learn to analyse test results and document findings clearly.
- Support debugging activities and root cause investigations.
- Participate in environmental testing (thermal, vibration, humidity, shock).
- Help maintain test documentation, processes, and reports.
- Contribute to improving test methods and tools as experience grows.
What are we looking for?
- Basic understanding of electronics or embedded systems.
- Familiarity with Linux or willingness to learn.
- Interest in hardware/software testing and verification.
- Exposure to lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter) is beneficial.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Good problem-solving attitude and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity of verification and qualification methodologies.
