Position Overview

This position requires a leader with a broad cross-functional background and experience in Global Business Services (CBS) and Continuous Improvement and Project Management. Supporting Head of PMO for driving overarching strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align projects with overall CBS strategy
  • Manage interdependencies and coordination across projects
  • Runs an extensive program of change within a business
  • Demonstrates ability to manage several teams with several projects
  • Interview users and Business stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Implements operational plans with measurable contribution
  • Works to achieve operational targets
  • May influence parties within and outside job function
  • Problems solved through prior experience and analysis
  • Scope may focus on strategic alignment
  • Responsible for delegating work and reviewing others' work
  • Ability to showcase data to align stakeholders
  • Explains policies, practices and procedures
  • Collaborate with other parts of CBS
  • Ensure project portfolio remains in tune with business objectives
  • Highlight and track key risks
  • Identify lessons learnt and refine PMO processes
  • Act as coach/mentor
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation
  • Act as communication channel between business and Project Managers
  • Shares best practices throughout the Company
  • Foster collaborative relationships with project leaders and senior stakeholders
  • Support CI Team and Head of PMO
  • Conduct workshops and training programs
  • Demonstrate proven ability to simplify strategy
  • Experience delivering business results and building competency in lean methods
  • Work with broad range of management levels
  • Responsible for making moderate improvements to processes, systems or products
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership

Skills & Experience

  • Good understanding of the organization’s vision, mission and strategy
  • Ability to distil situations and come up with options
  • Understanding of project and programme management
  • Leadership skills including communication, presentation, dealing with ambiguity
  • Broad understanding of the business, markets, customer base
  • Proven problem-solving and negotiation capabilities
  • Demonstrate influence skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion through others
  • Must have ability to inspire others
  • Able to interact with senior executives
  • Good analytic skills with understanding of project valuation and risk assessment

Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in technical engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience implementing multiple projects
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of relevant tools and methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience of Complex Project Management with knowledge in CBS operations
  • PMP/PRINCE II or equivalent certification a plus
  • Ability to organize, plan, execute and report independently
  • Strong communication and presentation skills essential
  • Requires well-developed knowledge of job area and early-management leadership
  • Statistical knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in managing improvement initiatives (e.g. Six Sigma, LEAN)
  • Experience in Scrum methodology is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Technology: MS Office, SAP is an advantage
  • Must have strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must have a team-player mindset

Travel Requirements

Position may involve travel up to 20% of the time within Europe and International. Most trips will include overnight travel.

Hybrid Working, 1 day per week in the office (Friday)
