Job Description
Supporting our e‑fulfilment operation for a well-known recognised brand. The site will handle the movement of customer‑specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
As an Operations Support Lead, you will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring all required technical equipment is in place and running as it should. You will lead a team and whilst carrying out their duties always maintain Health and Safety and provide a knowledgeable, solutions-based approach to the Warehouse to ensure the smooth day to day running of this technical function. You will liaise with various Contractors and Customer, to deliver service plans and maintain critical inventory on site.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week
Key Duties
- Responsible for the upkeep of the Critical inventory.
- Ensure all relevant equipment remains compliant and fit for purpose.
- Work closely with 3rd party suppliers, contractors and liaisons with Customer Ops Excellence teams.
- Assist the picking and packing team by providing engineering solutions to assist in operational capacity.
- Monitoring all machines and ancillary plant to drive efficiency and reliability.
- Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and complete repairs with little disruption to the Operational schedules.
- Look for opportunities to continuously improve performance.
- Follow set procedures and guidelines with respect to Health and Safety and COMAH Regulations.
- Ensure good working practices and housekeeping are adhered to.
- Providing weekly reports to senior management on status of operational equipment.
- Proactively make recommendations regarding the equipment to meet the site operational requirements and future development.
- Manage and develop the team, identifying key team members for the future and ensure they are able to fuel the Company’s growth and succession plans.
- Recruit, train and retain a team of staff that are committed to quality in line with the customer’s expectations as a premium brand.
