About the Company

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a unique design-led architecture and interior design company based in London and works on high-end, new-build houses and refurbishments for coastal and country homes across the UK. We are looking for an ambitious team member to join us in the studio with relevant construction phase experience in delivering residential projects.

Responsibilities

  • producing design presentations and mood boards for new and ongoing projects
  • producing drawings for planning applications and detailed tender packages
  • liaising directly with external consultants e.g. structural and mechanical engineers to obtain specific technical details to include within drawings
  • attending on-site meetings and managing queries as required

Skills

  • creative – demonstrable examples of creative designs in particular high-end residential including 3D modelling and 2D hand drawing
  • technical – demonstrable examples of technical drawings (building scale and detail) which illustrate your understanding of UK building regulations, as well as a good understanding of contract administration
  • project management – ability to work on simultaneous projects with a quick turnaround of thorough, detailed, accurate drawings
  • teamwork – we work very much as a team and make decisions together – it is important that you enjoy working as part of a team and individually when required
  • self-motivated to learn and develop
  • fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and a CAD drawing package, preferably Vectorworks or a willingness to learn

Requirements

Essential: registered architect with Part 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent. Current eligibility to work in the UK and good written and spoken English.
