Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Salary: £30,702 to £34,484 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent Full time 37 hours per week

Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Health Teacher to inspire learners and support them toward successful careers in the health and care sector. This is a rewarding opportunity for either an experienced teacher or a healthcare professional who is ready to move into education and share their expertise with the next generation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons using a variety of teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Create and adapt learning materials that are current, relevant and accessible.
  • Guide learners through assessment, offering clear and constructive feedback to help them progress.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records and contribute to course evaluation and curriculum development.
  • Work closely with Course Leaders, colleagues and employer partners to ensure health provision remains industry-relevant.
  • Support learner recruitment activities such as interviews, enrolment events, open evenings and school liaison.

About You

  • Degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject area or significant sector experience.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or commitment to achieving a Level 6 PGCE while working at the College).
  • A relevant Level 3 qualification in your subject area.
  • Proven experience in delivering learning opportunities to a wide range of students/learners.
