FULL DESCRIPTION

Freelance Community Facilitator: Try The Train

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Freelance Community Facilitator for the Try The Train programme. This role involves delivering workshops and supported train journeys to build confidence in rail travel for community groups.

  • Salary: £200 per day (£2,000 total for full delivery)
  • Location: Peak District & Derbyshire
  • Deadline: 23 March 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver inclusive workshops that build rail confidence and independence
  • Support participants safely during train journeys
  • Adapt delivery to meet diverse access needs
  • Gather basic participant feedback
  • Uphold safeguarding, equality and professional standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with community and/or disability groups
  • Experience supporting people facing barriers to travel, confidence or access
  • Experience delivering structured, confidence-building workshops
  • Ability to work safely and professionally in public settings
