AI Intern x2 (9 months)

About the Role

We have an excellent opportunity for two AI Interns to work with the Commonwealth Artificial Intelligence Consortium (CAIC) within the Secretary-General’s Office (SGO) at the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. The CAIC aims to provide strategic leadership by building domestic AI capacity of members, focused on small states. The internship will enable successful candidates to expand skills through research and capacity building in AI.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Adviser – AI and Transformative Technology and working group leads of CAIC in implementing the pilot phase project for CHOGM 2024.
  • Assist in design and development of AI models for various applications.
  • Assist in development and deployment of AI tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements for integrating AI solutions.
  • Undertake research on AI developments and keep up to date with latest AI research and technologies.

Requirements

  • Be between 20 and 30 years old.
  • Hold a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Artificial Intelligence or Data Analytics from a recognized Commonwealth university.
  • Fundamental understanding of Machine Learning concepts.
  • Demonstrable experience in Python, AI/ML libraries, Gen AI, and version control tools like GitHub.
  • Experience in development and deployment of AI applications and models.
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills.
  • Must be a citizen of a Commonwealth country and have right to live and work in the UK for the full duration.
