Chef de Partie
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a full-time Chef de Partie to prepare and deliver food service for the College, Members, guests and conference guests to the highest standards. The role is based in Cambridge, UK and is offered on a permanent basis at 37.5 hours per week.
About the Role
The Catering Department at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] currently operates 7 days a week, catering for around 1000 covers per day via its Cafeteria & Banquet operation. Term time Catering sees us focus on providing a varied menu for our members and a full range of options for Conferencing and Banqueting is maintained throughout the year. The covers for banquets range from 3 to 452, Garden parties run to 650.
Working in a small team, we are seeking a full-time Chef de Partie to prepare and deliver all aspects of food service for the College, Members, guests and conference guests to the highest standards. We are looking for someone who has experience working as a Chef at a similar level of responsibility. Experience of producing food for banquets or large volume events is desirable.

The Colleges provide a key proportion of student teaching: small group tutorials, known as supervisions, and residential, social and welfare facilities. Every student at Cambridge University must be a member of a College. The College has about 250 Fellows and By-Fellows, around 400 postgraduates working for a higher degree or diploma, around 500 undergraduates working for a first degree and around 250 non-academic employees. The Centre is the home of the Møller Institute Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the College, which provides for the development of current and future leaders in government, industry, academia and civil society through leadership development programmes.

Terms and Conditions of Employment
- This is full time role, the working pattern will be 37.5 hours per week, working 3.5 days over 7 including alternate weekends.
- The role is offered on a permanent basis, subject to completion of a 4 month probationary period.
- The salary range offered for the post is currently between £27,458 to £33,452 per annum (depending on skills and experience).
- [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] operates a role evaluation system and all posts are assigned a grade, within an incremental pay-scale made up of annual increments at the bottom of the scale and discretionary increments (accessed through excellence in performance) at the top of the scale.

Job title: Chef de Partie
Reports to: Head Chef
Role purpose: To prepare and deliver all aspects of food service for the College its Members, Guests and Conference Guests to the highest standards. To maintain the Food Hygiene standards, Licensing Laws and follow all College rules and regulations. To be responsible for the operation in the absence of a Senior Member of Staff and to supervise small teams of Catering Assistants, Kitchen Porters and Agency workers.
