Practice Manager - Equine

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], part of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], is seeking a dynamic Practice Manager to lead non-clinical operations at our RCVS-accredited equine hospital in Laughton, East Sussex. This full-time role offers up to £40,000 DOE with flexible working options.

About the Practice

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (part of the Cliffe Veterinary Group) deliver a full range of ambulatory and hospital-based services across Sussex and Kent. Our purpose-built facilities include 20 inpatient stables, fully equipped surgical and hospital facilities, advanced diagnostic equipment, and an in-house laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and develop the non-clinical team
  • Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring smooth workflows
  • Manage rotas, recruitment, onboarding, and team development
  • Drive financial performance, budgeting, and KPI management
  • Ensure compliance with RCVS standards and regulatory requirements
  • Handle client feedback and resolve issues professionally
  • Support marketing and community engagement initiatives

Requirements

Proven management experience, ideally in healthcare or service-led environments. Strong people management, operational capability, and communication skills. Equine knowledge desirable but not essential.
