Job Description

What you’ll do

As a Support Worker in Supported Living, you’ll support people to live independently in their own homes.

This role is about empowering people to live the life they choose, building confidence, developing life skills, and promoting independence not just providing care.

You’ll:

  • Support individuals to manage their own homes and daily routines
  • Encourage independence with cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal organisation
  • Support people to access the community, attend appointments, and take part in social activities
  • Provide emotional support and build positive, trusting relationships
  • Assist with personal care where required, always promoting dignity and choice
  • Follow person-centred support plans and risk assessments
  • Work alongside families, social workers, and other professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to support reviews

You’ll be helping people gain independence, confidence, and control over their lives.

Qualifications

Experience in care is essential. Experience in supported living or learning disabilities is beneficial.
