Job Description

You'll join a busy geotechnical team delivering civil engineering and environmental projects throughout the UK. From day one, you'll be hands-on - scoping and designing ground investigations, using that data to feed into detailed design, and taking your work all the way through to construction on site.

As you develop, you'll progress further into geotechnical design tasks, working alongside experienced engineers who are invested in your growth. This is a role with real variety, real responsibility, and a clear path to chartered status.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Planning and scoping ground investigation programmes
  • Producing specifications and technical documentation
  • Interpreting borehole logs, lab data and ground investigation results for geotechnical reports
  • Supporting geotechnical design on infrastructure and environmental projects using a variety of industry software
  • Overseeing joint venture contractors on site - putting your design to construction
  • Working towards chartership (ICE / Geological Society)

Project Highlights

Our work spans national infrastructure, flood risk, river/canal, energy and civil engineering - including:

  • Mine water remediation and environmental improvement schemes in Scotland
  • Debris screen installations for the Environment Agency
  • Design-and-build infrastructure contracts from concept through to construction
  • Multi-site ground engineering programmes across the UK

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or related field
  • Engineering geology or geotechnics modules (advantageous)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Any ground investigation or site experience - is great
  • Familiarity with British Standards or Eurocodes - is great
  • Geotechnical software experience - is great
