Staff Nurse - Paediatrics

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Paediatric Staff Nurse to provide high quality patient care in line with the hospital's values and professional regulations. You will manage your own workload and be a supportive team player, working with local and national policies to deliver safe, quality care.

What you'll do

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised quality patient care.
  • Ensure nursing practice meets [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] policies, CQC and NMC standards.
  • Supply and administer medication safely.
  • Assess and support patients with medication adherence.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Escalate concerns via appropriate pathways.
  • Report incidents, complaints and compliments using the Datix system and SBAR approach.
  • Respect privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
  • Take on additional duties within scope of practice.
  • Maintain clear, accurate records per NMC standards.

  • Competent with Venepuncture and PILS
  • Experience in a Paediatric Hospital
