About the Role
We are seeking an experienced technical Commercial Manager at Associate / Associate Director grade to join our Cities Project Leadership (CPL) team, supporting the delivery of major, complex projects across the UK and internationally.
The role can be based from either our London or Bath offices on a hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the commercial, financial and technical performance of projects or defined work packages
- Lead project planning activities including programme, budgets, risk and change management
- Support Project Directors in providing clear commercial direction to internal teams
- Engage with client commercial representatives on change, variations, compensation events and risk
- Liaise closely with technical teams to understand impacts of change and manage risk proactively
- Support bidding and work-winning activity, working with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s central Legal and Commercial teams
- Lead and support more junior colleagues, contributing to the development of commercial capability within the team
- Act as a representative of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] with clients and project partners
Requirements
- Experience delivering major infrastructure or urban development projects (e.g. urban development, highways, utilities), ideally across the UK and Middle East
- A good technical understanding of infrastructure engineering disciplines, gained through design, contracting or commercial/QS roles
- A strong track record in commercial management and project leadership
- Experience procuring and managing sub-consultants
- Experience setting up and managing large multidisciplinary teams, including programme, financial and technical performance
- Experience preparing fee estimates, proposals and supporting commercial negotiations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with senior clients and stakeholders
