Chef's Assistant

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Chef's Assistant at Quarry House in Fishponds. [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a group of four nursing homes in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare and serve meals to residents and staff according to pre-set menus
• Order stock, ensuring availability of ingredients and receiving stock
• Manage food storage according to EH regulations
• Stock rotation and wastage control
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and Infection control

Requirements

• Current food hygiene certificate would be useful but training to be given
• Experience of cooking in a care home or similar environment would be ideal but not essential
• Good spoken and written English

Pay Details

As an employee (Age 21 years +) you will earn: Salary: From £13.45 per hour, 10% increase on any weekend hours worked, 50% extra pay on Bank Holidays.
