Deputy Manager

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a Deputy Manager for a new purpose-built home in Tyldesley, Manchester, supporting adults with autism and learning disabilities. Salary: £32,126.20 - £35,254.90. Full-time, permanent.

The Vacancy

Wareing is one of our new purpose built, homely, spacious and specialist homes in Tyldesley, Manchester, supporting 4 adults with autism and learning disabilities to be independent and achieve their own individual outcomes.

In your role as Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager. You will lead a team of care professionals, foster a strong safeguarding culture, and ensure our high standards are upheld every day.

We are looking for someone who is confident in managing the day-to-day operations of the home, someone who can support the Registered Manager to achieve the highest standards of care and empowering the people we support to become more independent and achieve their own individual outcomes.

What we're looking for

  • A Level 3 qualification in social care is desirable but not essential
  • It is essential you hold a full UK driving licence
  • A minimum of two years of operational experience in a health and social care setting
  • Experience in caring for people with learning disabilities and/or autism
  • Someone who can mentor a team to achieve their goal
  • Meeting the legal responsibilities of the service and home

Safeguarding Requirement

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Satisfactory references are also required.
