Purpose and Scope
The Purchase Ledger Controller will manage and maintain an efficient and up to date ledger, ensuring suppliers are paid on time. The Purchase Ledger Controller will support the Finance team to achieve the highest standards in all accounting areas, and will assist the Group Financial Controller with ad hoc finance projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure adherence to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Code of Conduct
- To process, post and code all supplier invoices in Sage Intact
- To produce a list of suggested payments for authorisation weekly, taking into consideration terms and due dates
- To reconcile supplier accounts and cross check to supplier statements
- To accurately allocated costs across the different departments and sites
- To assist with ad hoc projects, to enhance the purchase ledger function
- To ensure that all relevant invoices are posted and included for the month end deadline
- To strive for continuous improvement in all areas relating to the finance department
- To embrace Continued Professional Development and a culture of learning
Person Specification
Experience:
- AAT qualified. Or experienced as a Purchase Ledger Controller, with Sage Intact experience
- Experience of purchase ledger processing
- Nominal ledger experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail
Additional requirements:
- Strong ethical standards and a role model for the organisation’s values and behaviours
- Good team player
- Flexibility to cover business needs
