Overview

We have an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist to join our team in the Physiotherapy department. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week with a flexible shift pattern.

Duties

  • Provide expert assessment, diagnosis and management of patients with complex and persistent pain conditions, including musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain.
  • Work autonomously to triage, assess and manage patients using advanced clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • Act as the clinical lead for pain services within the organisation.
  • Provide clinical leadership through teaching, mentoring and supervision of physiotherapists, First Contact Practitioners (FCPs) and APPs.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, GPs, psychologists, nurses and allied health professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
  • Lead and participate in clinical audit, service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Significant experience working at Advanced Practice level in MSK physiotherapy.
  • Demonstrable expertise in chronic and persistent pain management.
  • Proven leadership experience within a clinical setting.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
