Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, develop, and motivate teams across multiple projects and functions from delivery to support.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development.
  • Act as a trusted leader and escalation point for operational and people-related matters.

Project Oversight & Delivery

  • Provide oversight of project portfolios to ensure delivery against scope, time, quality, and budget.
  • Work closely with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders to remove delivery obstacles.
  • Ensure consistency in project governance, reporting, and operational standards.
  • Monitor risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively.

Resource & Staff Utilisation

  • Own and manage staff utilisation planning to maximise productivity and profitability.
  • Balance demand, capacity, and skills across current and future projects.
  • Use data and insights to forecast resource needs and support business growth.

Operational & Strategic Management

  • Translate business strategy into operational plans and execution.
  • Continuously improve operational processes, systems, and controls.
  • Support senior leadership with operational reporting, insights, and recommendations.
  • Contribute to long-term planning in preparation for progression to Operations Director.

Technology, Data & Systems

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of data-driven decision-making.
  • Leverage operational data, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor performance.
  • Work effectively with enterprise technology platforms, including our proprietary software (Maextro on premise and Maextro cloud), SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • External and internal collaboration with functional & technical teams to optimise the use of systems, tools, and automation.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in an operations management or senior delivery role with an SAP background.
  • Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience overseeing support for existing customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and optimise staff utilisation.
  • Solid understanding of data, reporting tools, and operational metrics.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience with or strong understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Desirable

  • Background in consulting or professional services environments.
  • Experience contributing to or leading operational strategy.
  • Familiarity with SAP ecosystems, data platforms, or digital transformation initiatives.
