Maintenance Technician

We're hiring a Maintenance Technician for Birmingham. Salary: £24,780 - £25,000 per year. Permanent, Full-time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as first-line support, attending site to assess reactive maintenance issues reported
  • Works in line with service level agreements set by Tenancy Services
  • Carry out planned maintenance works (such as re-decoration of properties to-let)
  • Ability to manage and organise own workload effectively
  • Responsible for the use of accounts with suppliers to source parts and materials as and when needed
  • Carry out associated admin, such as claiming expenses or liaising with Accounts teams with purchase receipts
  • Purchase materials and complete works required in line with client goals and budget
  • Builds effective working relationships with branch staff and the Asset Manager responsible for the portfolio
  • Attend site as and when convenient for the client and/or tenants, developing trusted relationships

What You Need to Succeed

  • Fluent level of English; able to communicate effectively with customers, team members and other contractors professionally, as appropriate
  • Experience of working in a similar role is essential (lone working experience is advantageous)
