The Role

The [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Housing Management team has experienced significant growth and is now one of the largest housing management practices in the country. We are looking to further expand and a vacancy has arisen for a lawyer to join the team in our Bristol, Birmingham or Leeds office (with flexible hybrid working). The role will involve advising social landlords (and other landlords) on a wide range of housing management issues, including:

  • Possession claims
  • Injunction claims
  • Anti-social behaviour litigation and advice
  • Cases involving the Equality Act 2010 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Breach of tenancy claims
  • Social Housing Fraud
  • Access injunctions for gas and electricity safety
  • Failed succession cases
  • Service charge disputes

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience of work for social landlords is essential, with experience of acting for housing associations being desirable. The successful applicant will possess the following skills: extremely organised with a keen eye for detail, ability to manage client expectations, strong communication skills, confidence in working directly with clients, ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, aptitude for drafting and legal analysis, a team player with a keenness to work collaboratively, a practical and commercial 'can do' approach to problem solving, and commitment to the social housing sector.
