Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is a leading commercial law firm. Our Housing Management team has experienced significant growth and is now one of the largest housing management practices in the country. We are looking to further expand and a vacancy has arisen for either a solicitor or an associate to join the team in any one of our regional offices (with flexible hybrid working). The role will involve advising social landlords on a wide range of housing management issues including:

  • Access injunctions for gas and electricity safety
  • Injunction claims
  • Disrepair claims
  • Cases involving the Equality Act 2010 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • Breach of tenancy claims
  • Possession claims
  • Failed succession cases
  • Leasehold management advice
  • Service charge disputes

Requirements

Previous experience of acting for social landlords preferable, with experience of acting for housing associations being desirable. The successful applicant will possess the following skills:

  • Extremely organised with a keen eye for detail
  • The ability to manage client expectations and adhere to KPIs
  • Strong communication skills with a professional approach to work
  • Confidence in working directly with clients
  • An ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
  • An aptitude for drafting and legal analysis
  • A team player with a keenness to work collaboratively with colleagues at junior and senior levels
  • A practical and commercial, 'can do' approach to problem solving
  • Commitment to the social housing sector
