Group Golf & Membership Sales Executive

Location: Dartford | Salary: £27945 + OTE | Job Type: Permanent - Full Time

About the role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Group Limited is seeking a driven and personable Group Golf & Membership Sales Executive for Birchwood Park Golf & Country Club. This role is central to delivering an exceptional customer journey while maximising revenue through proactive sales strategies and relationship management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with, and support colleagues to ensure the club achieves its Events, Group Golf and Membership targets.
  • Proactively generate new membership leads through outreach, networking, and social media.
  • Respond to incoming telephone, email and walk-in enquiries.
  • Conduct tours of the club, showcasing facilities and membership benefits.
  • Drive group golf bookings including corporate days, society events, and private functions.
  • Convert enquiries into sales through effective follow-up and closing techniques.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Being self-sufficient on lead generation, through effective follow up calls, outreaching and any other means deemed necessary by the Manager.
  • Support the Sales Manager in ensuring social media accounts are updated with engaging content to attract interest in our pages.
  • Ensuring that all sales procedures are being correctly implemented and used to generate new leads and convert enquiries to business.
  • Being fully conversant with the Club’s Health and Safety policy and emergency procedures for fire and accident, reporting any accidents in the prescribed manner.
  • Take on any additional duties as requested by the Club Management team.

Group Golf

  • Prepare proposal and contracts ensuring that deposit and payments are received.
  • Prepare weekly events sheets in accordance with bookings and liaise with golf & food and beverage operations teams.
  • Greet group bookings on arrival and capitalise on all up-selling opportunities.
  • Contribute new sales ideas to drive new customers and ensure the loyalty of current customers.
  • Contribute to group golf, functions & membership marketing in accordance with marketing plan.
  • Review competitors on a regular basis.

Membership

  • Assist team in achieving monthly sales targets sales.
  • To assist in ensuring that members receive the best possible journey.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, corporate clients, and local businesses.
  • Act as the main point of contact for prospective and new members.
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for all new members.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across club services.

Daily tasks include

  1. Handling Telephone enquiries following the company standard by fulfilling the criteria set out on the Telephone Enquiry Assessment Forms.
  2. Touring prospective customers following the company standard by fulfilling the criteria set out on the Tour Assessment Forms.
  3. Responding to Web Enquiries within one hour by telephone where possible.
  4. Processing prospect information accurately onto the prospect system and following up all enquiries by setting actions on the prospect system accordingly.
  5. Processing new memberships onto the system accurately and correctly.
  6. Making a minimum of 20 outgoing quality contacts per day on the telephone.
  7. Contributing to the marketing of group golf and memberships by putting ideas forward and carrying out activities set by the Sales Manager.
  8. To pursue opportunities for future business and seek marketing opportunities.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in sales, ideally within leisure, hospitality, or golf industries.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Target-driven with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipelines.
