About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented GPhC-registered Pharmacist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team, including pharmacists, nurse prescribers, dietitians, and GPs. As a Pharmacist at [Employer hidden], you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient supply of medicines to patients using our digital healthcare services. You will work closely with clinical and operational teams to maintain high standards of care while supporting continuous improvement across systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical & Accuracy Checking: Ensure prescriptions are clinically appropriate, accurately dispensed, and compliant with safety and legal requirements.
- Telephone & Video Consultations: Conduct consultations where required to verify patient information. Communicate confidently, clearly, and empathetically to support safe prescribing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to GPhC standards, follow SOPs, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy law and best practice.
- Operational Oversight: Collaborate with dispensers, packers, and clinical teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment within SLAs.
- Workflow & Efficiency: Support the streamlining of daily operations to improve dispatch times while maintaining safety and accuracy.
- Quality Assurance: Identify and report near misses, clinical errors, or discrepancies. Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Team Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to dispensers in training.
- Audit Readiness: Support audit preparation and participate in internal and regulatory inspections.
- Responsible Pharmacist Duties: Act as the Responsible Pharmacist on rota days (full support provided).
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications & Registration: GPhC-registered Pharmacist (essential)
- Experience: Experience in community, distance-selling, or digital pharmacy (desirable); familiarity with GLP-1 medications and weight management treatments (advantageous)
- Skills & Attributes: Strong organisational and communication skills; high attention to detail with a safety-first mindset; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment; confidence using digital platforms and dispensing systems; reliable and committed to high professional standards.
Salary & Benefits
Hours: 40 per week, 5 days over 7 - Office based to start. Salary: £46,000–£49,000 per annum (DOE). [Employer hidden] offers 33 days holiday (incl.
