Stores Spares Engineer
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is hiring a Stores Spares Engineer in Solihull. Salary: £44,925. Shift: Straight Days. This is a permanent role.
What to Expect
- Manage end‑to‑end spares activity, including MEDOC 55 review and actions, mass spares uploads via RS Sync, and ongoing inventory control.
- Drive cost effectiveness through regular spares reviews, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and optimisation.
- Collaborate closely with vendors and GME engineers to ensure spares availability, technical alignment, and effective issue resolution.
- Manage and control localised stores to ensure accurate stock levels, accessibility, and compliance.
- Support procurement activities, including participation in NEPT meetings and alignment to maintenance and project requirements.
- Utilise SAP to support maintenance spares procurement, working with the Project Engineer Planner for Trim and Final, including shutdowns and weekend working.
- Plan spares procurement timelines through asset list reviews and liaise with R+M Engineers to source alternative or improved materials and specifications.
What You'll Need
- Knowledge and hands‑on experience of maintenance processes, asset management, and the control of spares and technical drawings.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings down to component level, including specification and tolerance detail.
- Strong understanding of spares documentation and their application within maintenance activities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Proactive and organised approach to technical problem solving and task delivery.
- Good attention to detail when working with technical information and documentation.
- PC literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office packages for reporting, tracking, and communication.
