We have robust pipelines of BESS projects across the UK, Italy, Spain, and Germany - and strong financial backing. Our most recent fundraise was a £200 million investment from DIF Capital Partners. This will support our mission to grow internationally, and ultimately to build and develop a robust global BESS portfolio.

Your Mission

As a Design Engineer you will be part of our central design team, working across all of our markets globally. Your primary focus will be on GB and German projects, whilst also supporting our wider portfolio across all other markets. You will be based at our head office in London, working closely with our other central teams including Development and Grid.

You will work on projects from origination through to construction, creating site layout plans, planning drawing packages, legal drawings and engineering schematics, with 3D modelling experience also being an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of site layout plans, planning drawing packages, legal drawings and engineering schematics across multiple projects.
  • Completion of a full suite of drawings including single-line diagrams, planning application drawing packages, land and legal plans, engineering schematics, cut & fill and levels drawings, and pre-construction information.
  • Production of 3D site design models using Civil 3D.
  • Review of internal and external design packages to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
  • Review of tender documents and data sheets to develop in-house design knowledge and processes.
  • Ensuring all design work is undertaken in accordance with CDM regulations.
  • Support of implementation of [Employer hidden]'s internal data management system.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D as primary design tools.
  • Experience with 3D modelling software such as Revit or 3ds Max is desirable.
  • Experience supporting or managing planning applications and understanding of the planning process.
  • Working knowledge of CDM regulations and designer responsibilities.
  • Experience within renewable energy or energy storage industry is desirable.
  • Business level German is highly desirable.
  • Experience working internationally is desirable.
  • Degree in engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
