Job Description – Summary of Role
The Process Engineer will work as part of a team of Process experts working on Oil & Gas brownfield modifications, field development and operations projects.
- Creation of P&IDs, Process Flow schemes, Cause and Effects
- Process Safeguarding
- HAZOP Action and Closeout
- SIL/LOPA Analysis
- Process Calculations
This will be done in-line with the [Employer hidden] business processes and procedures as detailed in the ISO9001:2015 Management System.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide process engineering technical support to and implementing instructions from the lead engineer.
- Deliver all discipline activities to cost, schedule and quality criteria
- Ensure that all assigned process engineering work is carried out in accordance with project priorities and schedules as set out in the project plan
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant codes, standards and procedures. Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant codes and standards
- Take ownership of process technical queries to ensure resolution to the satisfaction of the Lead Engineer.
- Administer and implement company, and where applicable, client / project policies and procedures
- Provide input to cost estimates and execution plans
- Ensure delivery of assigned aspects of discipline design, specification and procurement to cost, schedule and quality criteria
- Ensure technical integrity of discipline deliverables produced on the project
- Plan and maintain the discipline progress on assigned CTRs
- Supervision of junior discipline personnel and allocation of work as required.
- Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the scope of the discipline.
- Checking and preparation of design / engineering documentation
- For assigned work ensure all interfaces to other disciplines are clearly defined and correctly engineered
- Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant engineered technology
- Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel, vendors, clients, etc.
Other Duties
- Assist in the development and enhancement of processes and systems for wider use in the discipline
- Undertake training of less experienced engineers, including duties as a mentor
- Provide technical assistance to business development strategies, activities and initiatives
- Provide support for enquiries, proposals and execute assigned jobs across all business streams as required

Minimum Requirements
Experience: Previous relevant industry experience preferred.
Qualifications: A Process or Chemical Engineering Degree (BEng/BSc minimum).
Training: In-house training will be provided, and external courses will be utilised if/as required.
