Buy Back Project Manager

Job Type: Contract | Location: Belfast (Hybrid) | Published: 31-03-2026

Role Overview

This is a newly created, high-impact role within a global technology company focused on the return, recovery, reuse, and redeployment of high-value equipment. You will have a major impact on ESG for both end customers and our client by coordinating equipment repurchases. You will manage the flow of high-value assets once they are bought back from customers, ensuring they move efficiently through disposition:

  • Returns – coordinate and support transportation, track logistics, and monitor the inventory receiving process to prevent bottlenecks or delays
  • Equipment is then assessed for repair/refurbishment, resale, harvest or recycling

What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end asset flow post buy-back
  • Sit between commercial, supply chain, and operations, giving broad exposure to the business
  • Coordinate across the supply chain, 3PL partners, repair vendors, and internal teams
  • Track returns inventory, movement, and create performance metrics
  • Identify and resolve delays
  • Develop an internal resale platform
  • Liaise with colleagues on stock availability and levels
  • Report to Senior Supply Chain Director, with support from colleagues in the Belfast office

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Brand new, one-of-a-kind position
  • Opportunity to build and shape a global process
  • Exposure to international teams with some international travel to set up inspection flows
  • Direct impact on sustainability through equipment reuse

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record in Project Management in supply chain management, logistics, engineering or service environments
  • Strong cross-functional coordination skills
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable working with Excel, inventory management software, data analysis and ERP systems

This is an initial 12-month contract, and our client is experiencing a significant, sustained period of growth and has an excellent work culture. To find out more, please forward a copy of your CV, and we will be in touch to discuss your interest.
