Planning Engineer

You'll be involved in interpreting technical drawings, understanding rail access requirements, managing interfaces across multiple disciplines, and ensuring project programmes are developed and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
  • Review and interpret technical drawings to produce accurate and achievable schedules
  • Understand and coordinate rail access requirements and associated project constraints
  • Manage and coordinate interfaces across multiple disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and support mitigation strategies
  • Assist with reporting, programme updates, and project controls processes
  • Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to support efficient delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice planning methodologies

Candidate

  • Min 2-5 years' planning experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or rail
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical information confidently
  • Understanding of rail access and multidisciplinary project interfaces
  • Some site-based experience is highly desirable
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
