Title: Senior Planning Engineer
Location: Preston (hybrid)
Rate: £500-600 per day

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading main contractor on a major project in Preston, offering an immediate start on a 6-month rolling contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a high-calibre construction planning professional to take ownership of the programme on a significant project, working with a top-tier contractor renowned for delivering complex schemes.

As the Senior Planner, you will be site-based and play a critical role in overseeing, managing, and driving the construction programme using Primavera P6, ensuring project milestones, progress, and performance are maintained throughout the lifecycle of the scheme. Working closely with project delivery teams, commercial teams, and stakeholders, you'll be instrumental in ensuring successful programme control on a live major project.

Candidate

• Proven experience as a Senior Planner within a main contracting environment
• Strong site-based construction planning experience on major projects
• Advanced Primavera P6 expertise
• Excellent NEC contract knowledge and understanding
• Strong programme management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced live project environment
• Immediate availability is essential

Offer

• £500-600 per day
• Hybrid working arrangement - circa 3 days on site in Preston, remainder remote
