About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Java Software Developer to join a growing team in an exciting organisation, with a clear path into a senior technical leadership role.
This is a role with real ownership and influence. The team is at an early stage of embedding AI into development practices and is looking for someone who can contribute not just technically, but culturally in how these tools are adopted.
This position would suit someone who is comfortable working across both legacy and modern Java environments, and who has already started to integrate AI tools into their day to day development workflow.
The role
You will play a key part in developing and enhancing a core web application along with a range of internal systems. There is genuine opportunity here to influence technical direction, particularly around how AI is adopted across the development team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Enhancing and maintaining a core web application and internal tools
- Supporting live environments
- Developing integrations with external systems and devices
- Working closely with operational teams
- Configuring and improving existing systems
Experience required
- Strong experience delivering complex Java solutions across legacy and modern stacks
- Solid SQL skills
- Experience with client-side JavaScript
- Hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor or similar
- Interest in helping a wider team adopt AI in a practical way
Interviews are moving quickly, so if this sounds like the right fit then don’t wait. Send over your CV and let’s talk.
