About the Role
As Operations Manager, you will deputise for the Store Manager and ensure store operations run smoothly. Key responsibilities include:
- Accountable for end-to-end store operations, ensuring high standards and appropriate resource.
- Identify, develop, and mentor talent to build a succession pipeline.
- Build management team capability through stretching accountability and development plans.
- Partner with the People Manager to embed a culture of change readiness.
- Ensure safe and legal compliance across all departments.
- Support managers with action plans to increase department performance.
- Contribute to the annual store plan with a commercial mindset.
- Develop local ideas to exceed sales targets and motivate colleagues.
- Build stakeholder relationships to drive continuous improvements for customers.
- Lead by example to deliver exceptional standards and customer focus.
- Oversee product availability processes and build team capability to improve customer experience.
- Gather customer feedback and work with central teams to improve service.
About You
Previous retail industry experience is essential, including managing a large customer-facing operation with over £150k turnover per week. Required skills:
- Strong leadership with the ability to listen and respond.
- Influence and think broadly about new ways of working.
- Strong coaching skills and ability to give feedback.
- Passion for driving talent and creating a successful team culture.
- Resolve challenges and build trust across the store team.
