[Employer hidden] is looking for an Operations Manager to join the Stoke-on-Trent store team. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits. Closing date: 01 June 2026.

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will deputise for the Store Manager and ensure store operations run smoothly. Key responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for end-to-end store operations, ensuring high standards and appropriate resource.
  • Identify, develop, and mentor talent to build a succession pipeline.
  • Build management team capability through stretching accountability and development plans.
  • Partner with the People Manager to embed a culture of change readiness.
  • Ensure safe and legal compliance across all departments.
  • Support managers with action plans to increase department performance.
  • Contribute to the annual store plan with a commercial mindset.
  • Develop local ideas to exceed sales targets and motivate colleagues.
  • Build stakeholder relationships to drive continuous improvements for customers.
  • Lead by example to deliver exceptional standards and customer focus.
  • Oversee product availability processes and build team capability to improve customer experience.
  • Gather customer feedback and work with central teams to improve service.

About You

Previous retail industry experience is essential, including managing a large customer-facing operation with over £150k turnover per week. Required skills:

  • Strong leadership with the ability to listen and respond.
  • Influence and think broadly about new ways of working.
  • Strong coaching skills and ability to give feedback.
  • Passion for driving talent and creating a successful team culture.
  • Resolve challenges and build trust across the store team.
