Buyer - General Merchandise (Warrington Based)

The role involves planning, sourcing, selecting and negotiating a competitive product range across all channels to maximise sales and margin. This is a permanent, full-time position.
About this role
As a Buyer within the GM team at [Employer hidden], you will be planning, sourcing, selecting and negotiating a commercial and competitively priced product range across all channels, whilst maximising sales and margin for the department.
- Maximising sales and profit in line with the budget plan
- Regular competitor analysis, including range and price benchmarking
- Market data analysis
- Developing strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers
- Deliver a customer relevant range for both UK and export customers
- Managing the critical path and engaging stakeholders
- Constantly reviewing sales and identifying opportunities for category growth
About you
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to influence across several work levels
- Experience working in a buying role in a retail and sales environment
- Brilliant time-management & organisation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Plenty of initiative and a passion for working in a fast paced environment
- Strong commercial awareness and acumen
- Have a passion for product and a keen eye for detail
