Market Street Fishmonger

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a skilled Market Street Fishmonger for our Queensbury (London) store. This is a permanent, full-time role (36.75 hours per week) in our Retail (Stores) Hourly Paid team. Closing date: 04 June 2026.

About the Role

As a Market Street Fishmonger at [Employer hidden], you are the face of our fresh fish counter. Your duties include:

  • Ensuring customer confidence in availability of fresh fish products
  • Maintaining quality, fresh and attractive displays throughout the trading day
  • Giving specialist advice on fish preparation and cooking methods
  • Preparing fish products to company and customer specifications (cutting, pricing, weighing, filleting, scaling, skinning, pin boning, gutting)
  • Using appropriate equipment (e.g. knives, chainmail gloves)
  • Producing fish products based on customer requirements, including online orders
  • Delivering outstanding, friendly, and helpful service

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is friendly and supportive, enjoys meeting new people and going above and beyond for customers
  • Enjoys being active and working in a fast-paced varied environment
  • Likes using own initiative to help resolve customer queries
  • Has the ability to use a range of equipment whilst maintaining high health & safety standards
  • Has fishmongery skills/experience
  • Enjoys working flexibly across other fresh counters
