The Cornerstone Centre is a large purpose-built Community Anchor and Healthy Living Centre in the heart of Salford. As a Befriending Volunteer, you will provide essential support to local community members, helping them to access activities and provision at [Employer hidden] and the surrounding areas. You will support clients over an 8-week period, building rapport and connecting them into local community provision.

What’s involved?

  • Support clients referred into the Befriending Programme to access activities/provision at [Employer hidden] and the surrounding areas
  • Develop a positive rapport with clients over an 8-week period to find out what matters to them and signpost into appropriate activities
  • Collecting information on participants so we can celebrate the difference you make to local people
  • Follow [Employer hidden] policies and procedures to ensure all interactions are welcoming, inclusive and safe

Time Commitment

This is a flexible role that you can commit around your work commitments and availability. You could volunteer for as little as 2 hours per week (one hour liaising with clients and one hour meeting with clients). We request that you commit to a minimum of 8-week blocks.
