The Senior Regulatory Affairs Team will be responsible for compliance with all regulatory obligations across water, wastewater, electricity, gas, and heat regulatory frameworks.
As the Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will support [Employer hidden] to enhance its regulatory compliance performance, ensuring strong reputation and positive relationships with industry regulators and stakeholders. Lead and manage the process for supporting the organisation in preparing for and implementing regulatory change. You will further develop and implement systems and control measures to manage changes to ensure compliance, mitigate risk and untap opportunities.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager
- Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Affairs, manage the day-to-day activities of the regulatory affairs team.
- Support the development, and manage the implementation, of the company’s regulatory strategy.
- Responsible for compliance with all regulatory obligations across water, wastewater, electricity, gas, and heat regulatory frameworks.
- Manage relationships with regulators and industry groups. Represent [Employer hidden] externally with regulators, code bodies, and industry trade bodies - such as Ofgem, Ofwat, and the INA.
- Lead, design, and manage the process for supporting the organisation in preparing for and implementing regulatory change.
- Lead and manage the process for supporting the organisation meet regulatory requirements in preparing for commercial opportunities and new markets.
- Develop and implement systems and control measures to manage changes to ensure compliance, mitigate risk and untap opportunities.
- Manage the process for all regulatory compliance and reporting submissions.
- Monitor and analyse company performance in key regulatory metrics to bring insight to and manage continual improvement of [Employer hidden]'s regulatory performance across its licences and codes.
- Support [Employer hidden] to enhance its regulatory compliance performance, ensuring strong reputation and positive relationships with industry regulators and stakeholders.
Experience
- Experience of managing and developing teams.
- Knowledge and significant lived experience of the extensive regulatory, commercial and compliance framework supporting the operation of (at least one of) the gas, electricity, water, wastewater and heat network industries.
- Knowledge and experience of managing compliance with industry licencing, codes, pricing controls and regulatory programmes.
- Awareness of consumer supply policy in the water, wastewater and heat markets would be preferable but not essential.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders in meeting regulatory obligations, developing policy positions.
- Ability to effect change both internally and externally to achieve [Employer hidden]’s strategic compliance and commercial objectives.
- Demonstrable management experience who can manage others and manage change initiatives.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory frameworks into executable plans.
- Great proficiency in Microsoft packages, namely Excel, Word and outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable reporting to senior stakeholders and regulatory leads.
