Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll review and approve electrical designs to ensure they meet accreditation requirements and are fit for purpose for adoption, ownership and long-term operation. You will work closely with upstream network operators and internal teams, constructively challenging designs where needed to achieve compliant and efficient outcomes. You will also support the development of the design team by sharing your expertise and helping team members progress and reach their next milestones.

Your responsibilities as an Electrical Engineer:

  • Review and approve electrical designs and quotations to ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, upstream network operator specifications and [Employer hidden] adoption criteria.
  • Carry out formal design and variation approval checks, providing authorised engineer sign off to confirm designs are fit for purpose and ready for delivery.
  • Assess electrical drawings, engineering reports and supporting documentation, identifying risks, required improvements and opportunities for efficient design.
  • Provide clear technical guidance and feedback to designers, supporting consistent quality across quotations, approvals and design changes.
  • Support the development of the design team by maintaining technical standards, contributing to training and managing technical escalations with internal teams and network operators.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Engineering Degree
