Role Purpose

We’re looking for a candidate with experience in handling TP claims who is keen to develop their skills and knowledge to join our expanding PI claims team. You’ll be an effective communicator and will take a flexible and proactive approach to the changing needs of the business. Most important is your attitude and work ethic, we’re looking for people who can contribute something and have a desire to grow with us.

Responsibilities

  • Comfortable validating, investigating, and negotiating third party personal injury claims
  • A sound understanding of the industry, including MOJ and OIC processes, the pre-action protocol and litigation procedures
  • Strong Organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise your own caseload.
  • The ability to work to monthly targets, both for your team and at an individual level.
  • A sound understanding of the industry, including MOJ processes, the pre-action protocol and litigation procedures
  • Commercially astute, and able to assess claims based on economics and with the best interests of the business in mind.
  • Experience working within agreed authority levels which have involved settlement delivery options available.
  • Strong negotiation skills and able to challenge where appropriate
  • Comfortable making quick and accurate decisions on liability, quantum and indemnity.
  • The ability to spot and deal with potentially spurious claims.
  • A team player who is happy to work with limited direct supervision.
  • A good understanding of industry procedures, products and services including rehabilitation, how these are delivered and be able to select appropriate solutions.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent call handling skills and customer service abilities
  • A confident verbal and written communicator.
