[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Hospital Altrincham is looking to recruit an activities co-ordinator to join the team. This is a bank role. The hospital is comprised of two inpatient units, providing specialist care for adults with range of mental health challenges and addictions. Altrincham also provides established, evidence-based outpatient treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone.

  • Deliver meaningful 1:1 and group activities to enhance patient’s wellbeing, independence, community participation and quality of life in line with prescribed care plans (including OT care plans) and risk assessments.
  • Undertake risk assessment of activities in discussion with senior colleagues and line manager.
  • Create weekly activity timetables that provide both structure and flexibility for patients within an inpatient hospital. Activities should support cognitive, physical, and emotional needs, align with patients individualised recovery goals and focus on meaningful leisure, recreational and social activities.

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE/O-Level standard (grades A–C) or hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification. A full driving licence is essential, as the role involves driving a hospital vehicle. Candidates should have experience in a related clinical or therapeutic environment and be able to build trusting relationships with patients and colleagues. They should also feel confident delivering and presenting information in a group setting.
