Quality and Compliance Lead

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Hospital Kneesworth House is looking to recruit a Quality and Compliance Lead to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours a week. Located in Royston, Hertfordshire, within a purpose-built facility and spacious grounds, [Employer hidden] Hospital Kneesworth House is a level 2 rehabilitation service, which provides a range of specialist recovery pathways, all at one site. The hospital also provides acute and psychiatric intensive care, medium and low secure services, and bespoke therapeutic placements. [Employer hidden]’s acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out-of-area patients back to local areas.

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a highly organised individual to join our compliance team at Kneesworth House. You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, the role is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our hospital remains compliant with the standards set by our key stakeholders, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • To support a patient safety culture and promote learning from incidents.
  • Manage the complaints and compliments processes within the hospital, ensuring timely responses and any recommendations are embedded within practice.
  • Support with investigations and reviews, including serious incidents, thematic reviews, whistleblowing, complaints and grievances, ensuring reports are submitted within the given timescales and in accordance with policies.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders and providing them with reports detailing the performance of the hospital.
  • Monitor Patient experience across the site, review themes, and support the changes to practice and policy in response to this.
  • Work with Senior Management Team to review service improvement plans, and quality performance indicators and assist in having an agreed set of objectives with SMART measures.
  • As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will be expected to support and promote organisational changes to the wider team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in administration and a background in a similar role within the healthcare sector. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills and provide first-class customer service at all times. Strong organisational and time management abilities are essential, along with the ability to effectively manage diaries and coordinate tasks within tight schedules. The candidate should be comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, while also having experience or understanding of audit processes and maintaining accurate records. The role includes managerial responsibilities which include supervising colleagues and joining the Senior Management Team in having oversight and responsibility for the smooth running of the hospital.
