Occupational Therapist - CAMHS

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit an occupational therapist to join the team on our CAMHS unit. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours based on site.

Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, [Employer hidden] Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

  • Manages and co-ordinates the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication. Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis. Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient’s rehabilitation / progress.
  • Ensures the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.

What you'll bring to the role

The individual holds a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, along with full membership in the British Association of Occupational Therapists (BAOT) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPC). In terms of experience, the role requires a minimum of three years, including at least one year of working within a specialized area such as addictions, neuro-rehabilitation, or eating disorders.
